The ‘Lakeview Terrace’ star will star in David Mamet’s upcoming play ‘Race,’ set to start previews at New York City’s Ethel Barrymore Theatre on Nov. 17.
Producers are keeping mum about the actual plot of the show, which also stars James Spader and Richard Thomas ,and will mark Mamet’s 50th year on Broadway.
“I don’t know how much I’m allowed to say outside of it being a brand new play from David Mamet [but] it’s interesting,” Washington told BlackVoices.com during an interview this week.(Kerry Washington)
The Bronx native, who wowed mainstream movie audiences in the Academy Award winning 2005 Ray Charles biopic, said she is “thrilled” about this latest career move.
