MUMBAI: Sanjay Gadhvi’s Seven Days in Paris has been shelved for the time being, sources in Bollywood say. Imran Khan and Katrina Kaif were signed up for this project earlier, but the sudden exit on Katrina threw the schedules haywire.

Ever since then, the director had been keen on roping in a well established actress to replace Kat. But with the shooting dates nearing,

Sanjay had not been able to find one that would suit the role. Owing to this, Seven Days in Paris, which was scheduled to begin in Paris during the first week of August, has been put on hold.

Bruckheimer goes to cable for Dark Blue

PASADENA, Calif. -- Contrary to rumour, Jerry Bruckheimer, producer of such edifying film entertainment as Pirates of the Caribbean, National Treasure, The Rock, Black Hawk Down, Beverly Hills Cop and Con Air is not accompanied wherever he goes by his very own personalized thunder-and-lightning storm -- though his studio logo does feature a stylized streak of lightning.

He's positively soft-spoken, in fact.

And when asked what he can do on the cable channel TNT with his new undercover-cop show Dark Blue that he can't do on, say, CBS, the stately -- and staid -- broadcast network that's home to his TV hits CSI, Cold Case and Without a Trace, Bruckheimer will offer only a tepid: "Well, I think (Dark Blue) is, you know, a real hard-hitting show. It's a tough show.

"And we love the people at TNT. They're terrific to us. So it's really a pleasure to be working with them."

Leaving aside the irony of Bruckheimer -- the godfather behind such quiet-sounding movie hits as Pearl Harbor, Top Gun and Armageddon -- making a TV drama series for a cable channel called TNT, the truth is that no one has their finger more on the pulse of what the North American public wants to see, in its movie theatres and on its TV screens.

And when the conversation turns toward popular entertainment -- what the mass audience wants to see, as opposed to the art house crowd -- Bruckheimer warms to his subject.

"Audiences just want to see good entertainment, whether it's a lighter show or a darker show. Especially in tough economic times, they want to lose themselves for an hour, or a half-hour.

"If we can make them laugh, that's one way. If we can involve them in a really interesting drama, that's another way. But it's all about entertainment. We love to laugh. We love great dramas. That isn't an on-and-off thing: It's always. If you look at the New York Times bestseller list, you'll see that the majority of bestsellers are murder mysteries, or something along those lines. Ever since the dime novels, and even before that, the public loves great mysteries."

Hit-making is an inexact science, Bruckheimer insists. "I never know what's going to be a hit."

One thing Bruckheimer does know is that audiences seem to respond well to characters who are tough to get a read on at first.

"You watch a movie like Serpico and you see where these police officers go undercover and they can't quite tell if they're the criminal or the good guy. Those kind of lives have always intrigued me, and I think they intrigue the public, too.

When Bruckheimer weighs a new TV show, he asks himself if it's a show he himself wants to see every week.

"I don't know what other people like to watch, but I know what I like to watch. That's my gauge for what we do. If I love the characters, if I love the storylines, I'm in."

Dark Blue is coming soon to a TV screen near you, on Citytv.

Dayana Mendoza

Dayana Mendoza, Miss Venezuela, who is the newly crowned Miss Universe 2008 winner. video and a biography of Dayana below.

The gorgeous Dayana Mendoza, Miss Venezuela, was crowned the 2008 Miss Universe winner earlier this evening in Nha Trang, Vietman. The pageant, which was hosted by talk show host Jerry Springer and Spice Girl Mel B, had four Latina finalists in the Top 5 – Miss Mexico, Miss Colombia, Miss Dominican Republic, and Mendoza, Miss Venezuela.

During an interview with the judges, she was asked who she thought life was easier for – men or women, to which she replied:

Dude Blogs Boycott Megan Fox

We always knew Megan Fox's constant flow of bizarre and awkward interviews would get her into trouble. We just thought it would be with Michael Bay.

However, we did not predict that a group of top testosterone-fueled websites would band together to ban the babe. We thought she was their Robert Pattinson dream girl or something!

But Asylum.com called upon its fellow men-centric pubs to plan a hot date without Megan Fox next week. And the dudes are coming out in droves—more than a dozen like-minded sites will be Fox-free come Tuesday.

Apparently, even a half-naked hottie can suffer from overexposure.

Between her six magazine covers this summer and never-ending press tours for Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen and Jennifer's Body, guys are almost as sick of their one-time goddess as ladies have been since Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen.

"You can have too much of a good thing," AskMen.com's editor-in-chief James Bassill tells the New York Daily News. "We're joining in the media blackout and giving our readers a one-day reprieve from the woman we've been drowning in all summer."

Doug Sheckler of On205th.com tells the newspaper, "She needs to do more to earn our undying praise and affection. For instance, she hasn't even returned any of my calls this year asking for a date. What's up with that?"

She's prolly too busy doing that silly back-and-forth thing with Brian Austin Green, which most likely is adding fuel to the guys' fires.

Whatever the reason, Fox is again fair game come Aug. 5—seems one day is just about as long as the laddies can hold out.

Who would you like to see replace Megan Fox as the hottie of the moment? Tell us in the comments!

Demi Does Daughtry, Jordin Sparks

Sure, the music snobs here at E! Online prefer Demi Lovato's acid-rock rendition of the Barney theme to anything off her latest CD. But everyone else seems to like Here We Go Again just fine.

Aamir gets 3.5 crores for a never to be shown ad

Like his films Bollywood actor Aamir Khan is known to be very choosy for the products he endorses. Unless he is convinced about the product no money in the world can buy Aamir Khan. Recently the perfectionist actor shot an ad for Hamdard Laboratories who which he was paid an whopping Rs 3.5 Crores. Believe it or not the ad which will never be aired on television.
The corporate ad will only be shown at the conferences to clinch big business deals. The company which had used only Juhi Chawla among Bollywood celebrities feels since only Aamir can do such an out-of-box commercial. The company which has over a century of heritage believed Aamir to be the perfect brand ambassador for its product in the international market.

Interestingly Aamir has been a regular consumer of the group's products especially Rooh Afza. The actor had in the past endorsed for brands like Coca Cola, Tata Sky and Samsung. Aamir will be next seen in the movie 3 Idiots and Dhobi Ghat which is being directed by his wife Kiran Rao.

Buffalo named after Salman's girlfriend Katrina

The next time you hear someone calling for Katrina Kaif, you may see a buffalo on turning around instead of Salman Khan's girlfriend Katrina. Believe it or not, a milkman has named his buffalo after Katrina Kaif.
Well, a milkman outsmarted Salman Khan in his own game at the 10 Ka Dum show. He broke the house down by revealing that he has buffaloes named after Katrina Kaif and Aishwarya Bachchan. Coincidentally, these girls have been linked to Salman. Aishwarya is his ex-girlfriend while Katrina is his present ladylove.

Salman didn't lose his temper this time around. Instead, he took it in good humour. He also learned how to wear dhoti from the milkman.

American Idol Contestant Killed:

American Idol Contestant Killed, Former American Idol contestant Alexis Cohen died early Saturday morning, the victim of a possible hit-and-run in Seaside Heights, N.J.

(American Idol Contestant Killed)
Cohen, 25, of Allentown, Pa., was found unresponsive on a street about 300 yards from where her car was parked in a lot, says Deputy Chief Michael Mohel of the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office.

First aid workers took her to Community Medical Center in Tom’s River, where she was pronounced dead at 6:35 a.m., he says.

An autopsy performed Saturday afternoon by the office of the Ocean County Medical Examiner found multiple traumatic chest and abdominal injuries, and a closed head injury, Mohel says.

“There was evidence that her body was impacted by a vehicle,” he says, noting the death is classified as a homicide.

Cohen, who auditioned for Idol in seasons 7 and 8, gained attention for her tirade against judge Simon Cowell, who rejected her performance.

No arrests have been made, says Mohel, who would not say where Cohen was prior to her death due to the ongoing investigation.

Watch Angel of Death Movie:

Angel of Death, Thank God for the sexy assassin…Kicking ass and arousing moviegoers for damn-near decades, the sexy assassin has racked up quite a body count in Hollywood – as well as comics and literature for equally as long – allowing actresses to show off their very best assets while proving that the men hadn’t yet cornered the market on the action genre. So the character of Eve in Angel of Death is hardly anything new, but she’s violent and brutal and sexy as hell, and when this mob assassin is injured (read: stabbed in the head) during a job, the subsequent visions of her victims lead her to seek revenge on her bosses before their newest hitman can put her in the ground.

But to call Angel of Death a “full-length action movie,” as the film is indeed advertised, is a little disingenuous, if not necessarily incorrect. In truth, it is a series of short web-based vignettes that tie rather neatly together to form a 75-minute narrative. Consequently, it is, by its very nature, hamstrung from looking or feeling much like a fully produced film, so at fifteen minutes shy of an hour and a half and lacking the polish required for Hollywood-style gunfights and choreographed beat-downs, Angel of Death is neither “full length,” nor strictly speaking an action-movie. It is, however, serviceably entertaining for two very worthwhile reasons.

The first is comic-book veteran Ed Brubaker, whom you might know from books such as Incognito or The Death of Captain America. Brubaker, who has seemingly specialized in gritty, action-oriented crime fiction, is no doubt aiming to give Angel of Death a particularly comic-book feel – violent, stylized and broken into tight, interconnecting chapters. In fact, small portions of the movie are filmed using panels as transitions between sequences. And while the story of an assassin gone rogue is hardly anything new, the noir-ish dialogue is both witty and appropriately violent, and the staging of the action feels more inspired than it is well-executed. That said, the film feels broad – and, in truth, it’s supposed to be – replicating the feel of a 1960’s grindhouse piece, but those unfamiliar with the pedigree or design of the project might find the film too broad for their liking.

The second reason that Angel of Death is even vaugely enjoyable is Zoe Bell. Known mostly for her role in Tarantino’s Death Proof — as well as being Lucy Lawless’ stunt-double in Xena — Bell is ridiculously hot with a New Zealand accent that’d make a good dog break his leash. But not only is she eye-candy – putting the “sexy” in “sexy assassin” – she’s a more than capable action performer, drawing on her experience to make every kick and punch believable. There’s no reason to expect that Bell couldn’t one day be a star, though vehicles such as this are hardly the route to take. And aside from simply looking good and kicking ass, she’s proving to be a competent actress, as well.

Unfortunately, director Paul Etheredge isn’t given the budget or scale to really pull this off as anything more than a handful of watchable webisodes. The action isn’t big enough; the effects aren’t sharp enough; the camera doesn’t move enough; the photography doesn’t pop enough – and all this despite a clearly visible effort on-screen. Certainly,

Review: (500) Days of Summer a Cute-Enough Hipster Love Story

Review in a Hurry: The guy (Joseph Gordon-Levitt) believes in love while the gal (Zooey Deschanel) does not. An unseen narrator informs us "you should know upfront, this isn't a love story." Hmm, we'll be the judge of that.

The Bigger Picture: An audience favorite at this year's Sundance, the debut feature from director Marc Webb offers Tom (Gordon-Levitt) and Summer (Deschanel) as a couple of 21st century hipsters who make cute for a while and then break up. The days unfold randomly with numeric title cards announcing their progress like a relationship odometer. He's from Jersey, and she had a cat named Bruce. So at the very least there's a Springsteen connection.

Gordon-Levitt has attracted attention from films like Brick and The Lookout. With 500, he may have found the right role for his brand of passionate but downplayed reserve. While the camera clearly loves her, Deschanel plays yet another variation on her character from indie fave All The Real Girls. This makes Summer a rather impenetrable force, and after a while you might wonder what Tom finds so compelling about this ingénue. A '50s hairdo can only get you so far, after all.

Much of the script by Scott Neustadter and Michael Weber is concerned with the sign-post-like connections between like-minded individuals (he sports a Joy Division T; she loves the Smiths.) Early on, Tom and Summer are shopping at Ikea and Tom makes a joke about the faucet not working in the faux kitchen. Summer ain't having it. Flashback a few months ago and the same gag makes her smile. Perhaps her mood has changed, or maybe Tom just shouldn't count on things staying the same.

Although the central premise is a tad overdone, there are many (but sadly not 500) things that go right. The story takes place in Los Angeles. It's not the La-La Land of the Westside-centric Entourage, but rather downtown L.A. This gorgeous part of the city is where our young, attractive twentysomethings actually use public transportation. Levitt's character is an aspiring architect, so cinematographer Eric Steelberg (Juno) makes the L.A. cityscape feel like a sunnier version of Manhattan's Mad Men.

The banter can be a bit self-conscious, but it's hard not to find most of it charming—like Tom's retort to Summer's declaration she does not believe in true love, "Um, it's love not Santa Claus."

The 180—a Second Opinion: If you're looking for something that's not cracking wise like Sandra Bullock and Ryan Reynold's The Proposal, this might be a nice way to avoid a hot summer day. Just expect to fall in like, not love with this story.

Deepika, Love Aaj Kal as special as Om Shanti Om

Love Aaj Kal, Since the release of Om Shanti Om, Deepika Padukone has been seen in two more films ‘Bachna Ae Haseeno’ and ‘Chandni Chowk To China.’ But the leggie beauty insists that if at all there is a special movie after her debut vehicle, it has to be Love Aaj Kal.

“I’m aware of the huge expectations that audiences have from Love Aaj Kal. Personally speaking though, the film is beyond expectations for me. I would rather call it a very special film,” said Deepika.

“We all have worked so hard on it, whether director Imtiaz Ali, Saif (Ali Khan) or myself, and we have become really attached to it,” said Deepika who is currently in London shooting for Sajid Khan’s Housefull where she is paired opposite Akshay Kumar.

Love Aaj Kal is releasing on July 31 and she is excited about the film since it is as real as it gets.

“This is why I said that after Om Shanti Om if there is a film that has been really special, it is Love Aaj Kal. I can state three reasons why Love Aaj Kal really fascinates me.Gorgeous Deepika in Love Aaj Kal – Trailer

“First, the film’s storyline is such that any common man can relate to it. It’s so real and, as you watch the film, you would feel that so many instances shown in it have happened to you too in real life.

“Second, the film has a universal appeal. Whether it’s the younger or the older generation, all will be able to identify with the proceedings. Imtiaz has a knack for keeping things basic and very simple, something that the world saw in Jab We Met and Socha Na Tha. His trademark touch is prevalent in Love Aaj Kal too.”

The third reason for Deepika to be really ecstatic after shooting for Love Aaj Kal is the dialogues that promise to be as natural as they get.

“Dialogues are such that they are more of conversational variety rather than sounding scripted. Imtiaz wanted all of us to perform rather than plain and simple mug up our dialogues and rattle them down. Yes, there was a dialogue sheet given, but it was mainly for reference,” she said.It was this freedom factor that really impressed Deepika. “There was nothing cast on stone and we actors were given a free hand to mouth dialogues that came naturally to them and suited the film’s situation most. I guess this was one aspect that really made me open up a lot more during the film’s shoot.”

So You Think You Can Dance Fans Hating Hard on Katie Holmes

Katie Holmes might have gotten "happy" on So You Think You Can Dance last night, but the fans seem more than a little disappointed.

Our comments section is exploding with your less-than-complimentary thoughts about her lip-syncing, "prancy steps" and hat-throwing. You're not alone.

Shanna Moakler was downright angry with Mrs. Tom Cruise's Judy Garland homage, choreographed by Tyce Diorio.

"I am f---n INSULTED, Katie Holmes how dare you!" she wrote on Twitter. "I didn't just grow up on musicals, I lived and breathed them, Oklahoma, Easter Parade, Family Band, don't touch my legends! ur not worthy."

Yeesh.

The former Dawson's Creeker's pals, however, have been quick to stand by her side.

"Everybody has a right to their opinion, but what she did has to be commended," her Dizzy Feet Foundation pal Carrie Ann Inaba told E! News exclusively today at an event for Broadway's Burn the Floor.

"She went out there on a show that features some of the most incredible dancers we have in America, and she went out there to show her support for Dizzy Feet Foundation and her love of dancing. And I think that's completely courageous."

Unfortunately, the Dancing with the Stars judge couldn't give us her official ruling on the performance—she was on an airplane when the episode aired.

SYTYCD judge and executive producer, Nigel Lythgoe, is hopping mad at the negative reactions Holmes has received and is lashing out via Twitter.

"Why hate on Katie? She's had no dance training and did this for publicity for the charity. Everyone lip synchs when they're dancing," he writes. "I'm going to ban all the Katie haters. You make me sick. Your attitude stops 'stars' doing charity work. Understand why she did it CHILDREN."

As if the all-caps name-calling weren't enough, he calls one fan "ignorant" but then drives a very good point home with a clever analogy.

"I'm trying to figure out why Katie is being judged as a dancer," he says. "When a star throws out the opening pitch no-one says 'ooh crap pitcher!'"

Producer Adam Shankman isn't quite as outraged at the fans, twittering, "I think it's great that everyone has opinions, but be clear: Katie wanted to do something with the show for dizzyfeet foundation, but had to go to Australia to shoot a movie, so she had to pretape… Not very cool to cut her up for what she did, and when she did it."

At least one celeb enjoyed the stylized number.

"I liked Katie Holmes performance," wrote Jenna Dewan, star of the original Step Up dance movie. "I thought she did great!"

Feel free to step into Inaba's judging shoes and continue to sound off on the performance. How would you rank it, 1-10?

Michael Jackson Son Omer Bhatti

Omer Bhatti michael jackson, Omer Bhatti is suspiciously considered the forth child of late Jackson and no one knows the complete truth about this surprising issue. Omer has a very much resemblance with the Jackson’s third child whose name is Blanket.Jackson has three official children but many news papers and his personal life tells us that his life was full of scandals especially sex scandals and due to these reasons many times he had to go to the jail and there is a chance that this news will be the true one if we keep the old life of Jackson in front of us.

Omer Bhatti was brought up in Norway but he spent his most of the time with Jackson where he used to play with Jackson’s three children. He also used to be photographed while playing with his children and at that time he was just 12 of his age. When bhatti met the Jackson at the first time, Jackson alleged to be the father of Bhatti in 1996. So bhatti should be the forth child of Jackson. Many features of bhatti and forth child of Jackson are similar as they have same type of hair color, eyebrows and some other facial features. Omer was granted a special place in the family of Jackson. Omar bhatti is recently trying to become a successful singer like Jackson.

The truth that whether Omar is the forth child of Jackson or not, Omar is willing to conduct his DNA test and after that all reality will be in front of people.

Kareena Kapoor ‘Censors’ Sexy Scene With Saif

Kareena Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan have reportedly shot an aesthetic love-making sequence in Karan Johar’s Qurbaan that Related Articles involves more physical exposure and intimacy than perhaps the actress’ censorship instincts allow.

Now, she intends asking director Rensil D’Silva to delete one scene from that sequence in which her bare back is visible.

There is a point beyond which Kareena won’t go for any filmmaker. And ever since Saif and she filmed the sequence, she has been wondering what both sets of parents might think on seeing in. “We are actors and can’t be coy after accepting a film on a bold subject like Qurbaan. I’ve done kissing scenes earlier. But the love-making scene is explicit by my yardstick. It comes at a crucial stage in the narration. And Saif made sure I was comfortable,” said the actress.

Kareena is a favourite of both, the producer and director, and it’s possible that Karan and Rensil might listen to her and have the bare back scene removed. The audience will be the loser. Ah well, there’s always Kambakkth Ishq in case you want to know what Kareena’s back looks like!

So You Think You Can Dance Results July 16

So You Think You Can Dance Results July 16,After the top ten of “So You Think You Can Dance” season 5 delivered impressive performances Wednesday, America dropped the axe on two least favorite dancers Thursday, July 16. The elimination show was kicked off with the top ten performing Wade and Amanda Robson-choreographed routine to Janet Jackson’s “So Much Betta”.

Before a preview of what happened on performance night, host Cat Deeley came on stage to announce that the show grabbed 4 Emmy Awards’ nominations for Choreography. Then, results for the top five girls were read. Janette who was the first to be called, was safe, but Randi became the first one to get in the bottom two. Jeanine was next and she’s also safe, leaving Kayla and Melissa. Melissa joined Randi in the unsafe group.

After a short break, more footage from the upcoming season 6 auditions were previewed and the top five boys were up. Jason was the first man safe followed by Evan. Kupono, in the meantime, landed the bottom two. When Brandon was told to off the hook, it left Ade in the bottom two as well. The bottom two boys and girls, then, delivered one final solo performance.

Black Eyed Peas, subsequently, took the stage to sing their hit song “I Gotta Feeling” of new album “The E.N.D.”. Thereafter, the final results were announced. Randi was out while Melissa will be back for another round in the girls’ division. For the boys, Ade, like Melissa, survived the week, whereas Kupono was sent packing.

Michael Jackson Funeral Tickets

Michael Jackson Funeral Tickets, Things are a little quieter on the MJ front this afternoon, but here’s everything important:

• Anderson Cooper has heroically managed to track down Bubbles, Michael Jackson’s monkey who once nearly ate poor Rashida Jones. The chimpanzee is now 26 years old and living in an animal sanctuary in Florida. Bubbles has been there since 2005 and a worker says Jackson never once came to visit. This is the saddest thing we have ever heard.

• Roger Friedman reported this earlier, but it’s since been confirmed: Jackson’s funeral will take place next Tuesday at 10 a.m. at the Staples Center. You won’t get in.

• According to former Sony Music CEO Tommy Mottola, the King of Pop left behind “dozens and dozens of songs that did not end up on his albums.” We hope not too many are duets with Paul McCartney.

• Though Jackson’s will expressly stated that his children should go to his mother or Diana Ross, his ex-wife Debbie Rowe says she’ll fight for custody, and even wants to submit to a DNA test to prove that she’s the biological mother.

• On Sunday, the organist at the Trinity Wall Street church paid tribute to Jackson with a medley of his hits after mass .

• That Jackson used to buy drugs under the names “Jack London” and “Omar Arnold.”
