respectively… and hoping for a link-up between John and Katrina.It’s not happening. Contrary to media reports earlier this week that had Salman throwing Katz’s stuff out of his house after discovering she was in close and constant contact with her New York co-star John over SMS.
According to the lady herself, she is still the dominant factor in Sallu’s life and the presiding deity of his cozy little den on the ground floor of Galaxy Apartments, Bandra west. “I’ve no idea where this story started from,” Katrina told BT yesterday, “but Salman was very angry and he was ready to clear the air with the people who started it, but they didn’t come on the line. So obviously, someone’s up to mischief.”
The actress, who doesn’t stay with Salman but has her own little apartment, was linked first with Ranbir (with whom she is doing Ajab Prem Ki Gajab Kahani) and now John. Salman, who is said to keep a tab on her phone, was reportedly upset to find text messages exchanged between his girlfriend and John. But Katz defended her New York co-star, “John was a sweetheart, we enjoyed each other’s company. There are some friendships that are carried on even after the film is completed. But John and I never became that kind of friends. The SMSes were old ones, not new. All this is rubbish.”
So where does that leave her? “What stuff of mine has Salman thrown away,” she asked. “I haven’t given him any gifts till date. And all my other personal stuff is still lying around in his house, intact. Most importantly, my photographs are still hanging on the walls.

Katrina-John running for cover?

John Abraham and Katrina Kaif called up journalists on Tuesday night begging them not to carry a story linking them. But reports appeared this morning after the stars, who are acting together in New York, were ignored. One report added that the Salman-Katrina relationship was already over and had been for some time.

But who leaked the story to the papers? That is what Katrina and John do not know and are worried about. There was so much detail that it could only have been an insider.

One paper reported this morning that Salman had confronted Katrina with her phone bill, asking to know why she had so many calls and messages from John. The actress is said to be terrified of Salman and literally pleaded with the journalists to hold the story.

One journalist, who decided not to publish it, spoke of how desperate both stars had been in wanting the story kept under wraps. Katrina has now switched her phone off and calls to her were going into voicemail. John was also inaccessible. Salman and Katrina have not been seen together for months. The last time Salman was at the same place as her was in March at Amrita Arora’s wedding in Mumbai.

That night, Salman left the party alone, driving off in an autorickshaw. There had been no talk of a breakdown in their relationship then. John and Katrina are acting for the first time together in New York, and the movie is ready for release. Produced by Yash Raj and directed by Kabir Khan, the movie is waiting for the end of the producers strike against multiplexes. Given the cynicism of Bollywood, insiders were wondering whether the stories had been planted in time for the release.

However, a source in Yash Raj insisted that the film was not the reason for the story being leaked. “We don’t need this, we’re YRF,” he said, referring to the initials of the company, which is Bollywood’s biggest production house, “we don’t need such publicity.”

The reports claimed that a furious Salman had ordered Katrina’s things out of his Bandra house. But this was deflected by people in the know, who said that Salman and Katrina have never lived together. “Katrina doesn’t live here and she never has,” said a source in the Khan family.

Katrina Kaif refuses Salman’s proposal

Rumours of Salman’s alleged affairs with his London Dreams co-star Asin and with the German supermodel Claudia Ciesla, have now taken a new turn.

Recent reports claim that Salman Khan has finally popped the question to his girlfriend of four years, Katrina Kaif.

Salman has been pitched as the most eligible bachelor in the country, even at age 42, and many have wondered when he will finally tie the knot.

Out of all his relationships, the one with Katrina has lasted the longest despite the nearly 20-year age difference, and therefore most people presumed that Katrina will be the chosen one, and now it seems she is.

However, the good news has not made headlines yet because Katrina has reportedly refused to marry Salman, and not just now, but many a times.

Katrina has said that she wants to focus on her career which is going great guns as she is delivering one hit after another, and she doesn’t want her private life to get in the way of that. What she is probably implying is that the appeal of married women is relatively reduced in Bollywood (with the exception of a few like Aishwarya Rai), and so early in her career, she doesn’t want to give it all up.

Let’s hope things work out for them, and Katrina’s repeated refusals don’t push Sallu towards many of the women who would be only too happy to be the arm candy of one of Bollywood’s biggest stars.

Amitbah Big B and Ritesh to perform at IIFA

Amitbah Bachchan, Riteish Deshmuk will perform at the forthcoming International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) to be held in Macau. They will be performing on a song from their forthcoming film Aladin alongwith their co star Jacquline Fernandes. The film is directed by Sujoy ghosh.

Sources inform that Salman Khan was earlier planning to perform a song from his forthcoming movie Wanted but for some reasons unknown he could not.

Sources reveal that Salman has been busy with his forthcoming reality show Dus Ka Dum. Till recently he was away at London shooting for his Veer. The serial has already been delayed and hence he could not adjust dates for the the IIFA event at Macau. Salman was keen on promoting his film Wanted which is all set for a release. But with his show coming on air Salman’s concentration is centered there.

It may be recalled that Salman had been a huge rage last year with his show and also won the highest TRP’s for the same. Salman does not want to disappoint his fans as far as the show is concerned and hence he is putting all efforts to make it much better than last year.

Neetu Chandra Clarifies The MNS Controversy

Neetu Chandra agreed to do a bold and sexy photo shoot for a men’s publication with model Krishikha Gupta outside a hotel on a beach inMumbai recently, little did she realise that she was welcoming controversy with open arms.

Onlookers and guests at the hotel were offended by the ‘lesbian act’ and created a scene outside the hotel. Within minutes, Neetu had landed herself in a soup. We asked the actress about the shoot and here’s what she had to say…

What was the photo shoot all about?

The photo shoot was on the lines of the Ajanta- Ellora cave sculpture. The concept of the shoot was to portray what men feel about seeing two female bodies, one perched on the other. The pictures had to be sensual and not vulgar at all. Krishika and I didn’t smooch or even touch each other in a suggestive way. We were just holding each other in a warm hug.

What went wrong at the shoot?

I was supposed to shoot for the publication from four to ten in the morning. I had to catch a flight to Delhi at 11 am as I had to attend a charity function there. However, after a while many people crowded the spot to watch the shoot. Initially, I waved at them, signed a few autographs, and took some photos with them. But it started disturbing our shoot and I felt uncomfortable striking a pose with many people watching me. So, I just went to my room and asked the publication and the production unit to clear the crowd. The unit tried to persuade the crowd to leave the place, but without much luck. How could I shoot with the junta watching me so closely? Also, I had my own priorities and commitments. So, I left the shooting at ten to catch my flight.

Were there no ‘Jai Maharasthra’ cries or assaults?

This shoot happened over a week ago and all papers in the capital carried my snapshot with the NGO the next day! Had there been any problems, wouldn’t the papers and television channels have reported them? I was supposed to pose for five different looks for the magazine, but because of the disturbance on the sets, I could complete only three. The publication should have cleared the set for me to pose. But instead of sorting out the problem amicably, they decided to publish the photos on the net in a bid to gain publicity for their magazine, which is to hit stands in about a week’s time. The news about the crowd threatening an agitation is all b**s***.

How comfortable were you while posing intimately with another model?

Come on, I’m straight. It definitely was awkward for both of us. But the shoot was conceptualised on the lines of the aesthetic sculptures in the Ajanta Ellora caves and Khajuraho. Our only intention was to highlight the body curves. I had donned a two-piece in my first film Garam Masala, that was directed by Priyadarshan.
When people didn’t have an objection then, why should they feel offended with my wear now?

Not many actresses are willing to share the stage with you…

I haven’t heard it from the horse’s mouth though! But yes, I know my place in the industry and I have struggled to reach this place. I started my career with five other girls in the movie Garam Masala. I’m not insecure about my status and I have no competition. So girls, chill out and good luck to you all.

Katrina Kaif’s Wish is Her Command

She demands seven costume changes instead of three for a music video for New York

Coco Chanel once said: ‘Dress shabbily and they remember the dress; dress impeccably and they remember the woman.’ Recently , Katrina Kaif made sure she got her way and did the latter. Katrina put her foot down and said that she needed seven changes of clothes for a music video in Yash Raj Films’ New York. The incident in question happened at Yash Raj Studios, Andheri.

Initially, Aditya Chopra and choreographer Ahmed Khan had decided on three costume changes for Katrina. But keeping in mind her glamorous image, Katrina asked for four more.
When Ahmed reached the sets, Katrina told him that three changes wouldnt be sufficient. A surprised Ahmed did not agree with Katrinas demand. Moreover, he knew that he would have to inform Aditya Chopra before giving in to Katrinas wish. However, when Katrina politely told Ahmed that she would have it no other way he had no choice but to call Aditya who was busy in his office upstairs .

Aditya told Ahmed that he was okay with seven changes if the choreographer had no problem. Thereafter, Ahmed told Katrina that she could have what she wanted.
Once the green signal was given by Aditya, four additional costumes were arranged much to Katrinas delight.

Ahmed confirmed and said, Yes, Katrina wanted seven changes in the music video. I wasnt too excited with the idea initially, but when I saw the final result, I think she was right. The music video has worked out brilliantly.

However, I made it clear to Katrina that seven costume changes should not eat into the time of the shoot, and it didnt , he added.

MUMBAI: Katrina Kaif A weakness in one situation can be strength in another. Katrina Kaif’s Brit accent, which came in the way of many of her performances, has now become her advantage.

Katrina Kaif has had to do her own struggle to reach where she is today. As someone bred in Britain, she’s had to cross many a linguistic hurdle to be able to dub her own Hindi dialogues in films. Sonam Loses Out to Katrina Kaif

MUMBAI: It was not too long ago that we reported the much anticipated project-in-the making by Dibakar Banerjee starring Katrina Kaif, Imran Khan and Abhay Deol. However, prior to Katrina being finalized, the film was being considered to be given to none other than Sonam Kapoor.

The actress who’s in the news for every possible reason under the sun these days missed out on a project that both her and her father were quite keen for her to be a part of.

This film was none other than Dibakar Banerjee’s (Khosla Ka Ghosla, Oye Lucky Lucky Oye) upcoming project touted as a love story also starring Imran Khan and Abhay Deol.

Word was that Sonam was very keen to work with Dibakar and Anil Kapoor too was very thrilled at the idea of his daughter working with him. So much so that he invited Dibakar homes to showcase a few reels saved for an international project.

However Katrina was quick to get her foot into the project as she contacted Dibakar expressing her interest in any projects he may have in the future. To her luck and Sonam’s dismay the Abhay-Imran film demanded a lady with a Western accent. Katrina has been dubbed in several projects for this very accent which is now working as her biggest asset. Luckily, Dibakar couldn’t find anyone better to fit into the shoes of his leading lady.

Aishwarya Rai To Work With Salman Khan

MUMBAI: Aishwarya Rai Comedy and entertainment are no longer restricted to Bollywood. They have seeped into the media reportage of the happenings in the industry.

One such funny rumour that took tinsel town by surprise was of Aishwarya Rai agreeing to act in a film with her two ex beaus – Salman Khan and Vivek Oberoi . The rumour said that director Satish Kaushik had managed to do the impossible by getting Ash’s nod to star opposite the two male actors in his movie titled ‘Tansen’.

Now, this is a kind of rumour that stumped the happily married Ash more than anyone. While she has graciously chosen to ignore the gossip rather than waste her time denying it, Kaushik, who has been flooded with calls about the casting coup, is upset, to say the least.

The director says that far from approaching Vivek or Salman for his film, he has not even talked to Ash about it. So the question of Ash working with the two male stars doesn’t arise at all?

Kaushik does concede that he had mentioned Abhishek Bachchan ’s name as a probable actor for the cast because “he suits the role” and has a star persona as well. But from where does the rumour of Salman and Vivek as Ash’s co-stars began, Kaushik hasn’t a clue.

So as things stand now, Rajshri Productions, who are producing ‘Tansen’, have approached Abhishek, and the actor has agreed to sit for a script narration. That’s it. Whether he signs the film or not will be known after the script, which is currently being worked upon, is finished.

Changing things up a bit from their normal high-profile events, Brody Jenner and Jayde Nicole were spotted out at the San Diego Zoo yesterday (April 29). The “Hills” stud and his Playboy Playmate looked to be enjoying their leisurely day together, walking arm-in-arm and smiling at each other.

Quantcast Mr. Jenner looked cool and casual in a baseball cap with sunglasses, a blue hoodie and long khaki shorts while Jayde sported a slim-fit tee with a scarf, jeans, and sandals.

This season on the “Hills” it looks like we’ll get to see Miss Nicole compete for Brody’s attention with Audrina Patridge, and after the most recent episode it looks like she’ll have her work cut out for her.

Skipper Dhoni ignores Amitabh Bachchan’s congratulatory SMS

New Delhi: Chennai Super Kings captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni is too busy to respond to a congratulatory message on being awarded Padma Shree from none other than Amitabh Bachchan, complains the Bollywood icon.

Bachchan said he twice sent greetings to Dhoni but the Indian skipper “must have been busy” with the IPL to find time to respond to his SMS.

“Knowing his closeness to Dhoni, I complain to John (Abraham) about Mahi not responding to the message of greeting I had sent him on his decoration of the Padma Shree,” he wrote on his blog on ‘Bigadda.Com’.

“He (Abraham) says he shall connect me immediately right away. I stop him. Ask him to look up at the TV - Chennai is playing Royal Rajasthan and Dhoni is very much on the field - IN SOUTH AFRICA!!” he said.

Dhoni and off-spinner Harbhajan Singh have been honoured with Padma Shree this year but the duo missed the award ceremony and invited the wrath of Sports Minister M S Gill among many others.
